Hello, I'm Hith

I'm curious and passionate about the most random facts. I love to read, explore, and dig into everything that sparks my interest. Whether it's diving deep into criminology, understanding human behavior, or designing intuitive digital experiences, I enjoy connecting the dots between creativity, psychology, and research.
Background
I hold an MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Durham University and a BSc in Psychology from Christ University. My academic work focuses on computational social science, AI-driven fraud detection, and predictive analytics in criminology. I have also worked extensively with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, OSINT, and AI safety concerns in criminology, particularly in understanding how emerging technologies intersect with crime.
Psychology has always been at the heart of my interests. I am deeply passionate about mental health and supporting individuals in vulnerable situations. I believe in fostering resilience and optimism, and I am particularly drawn to exploring how psychology can be applied in crime analysis, behavior prediction, and emotional well-being.
Beyond academia, I have experience in threat and risk analysis and open-source intelligence (OSINT). My work has involved fraud detection, novelty analysis, and AI-enhanced dashboards for monitoring real-time security threats. I am especially interested in the criminal misuse of AI—examining how emerging technologies can be leveraged for illicit activities and how we can build proactive strategies to mitigate such risks.
My Approach
I approach problems with curiosity and a drive to break through barriers. I like to dissect challenges layer by layer, understanding their depth before crafting solutions. Research is what fuels this process, allowing me to connect the dots, uncover patterns, and push beyond conventional limits. I learn best by doing—experimenting, refining, and adapting as I go. For me, growth comes from exploration and the willingness to question, test, and evolve.

Career Interests
My career is centered around applying research and data-driven insights to tackle pressing challenges in criminology and psychology. I am particularly focused on predictive policing, crime prevention, and rehabilitation, exploring how technology and behavioral science can enhance justice systems. My work extends to fraud detection and analysis, mental health support, and policy development, ensuring that interventions are both effective and ethically sound.
As technology reshapes crime and security landscapes, I am especially interested in leveraging AI and predictive analytics to mitigate emerging risks while ensuring responsible and fair implementation. My goal is to bridge the gap between research, policy, and real-world application, contributing to solutions that are both forward-thinking and human-centered.
Beyond Work
I am passionate about the future of AI in crime analysis, particularly in AI safety, fraud detection, and predictive modeling.
In my free time, I enjoy volleyball, archery, and street photography, exploring film-like aesthetics with my Fujifilm XQ1 and Olympus EE-2. I also love games (dreadfully looking at my Witcher 3 as I just can't get myself to finish it) and hope to make a game one day.
